1517 The Legacy Project serves churches and the world by providing a message of hope for those broken by the church, supplying theological resources that strengthen congregations, and modeling ways of engaging the culture in a manner that is thoughtful, courageous, and Christ-centered.
We offer important resources, reprinting excellent volumes in theology and apologetics, and release new publications each year, such as Gene Veith and John Warwick Montgomery, Where Christ is Present: A Theology for All Seasons on the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation.
We send Thinking Fellows and authors out to speak to congregations or at events, training people in evangelism and apologetics, and subsidize select engagements, thanks to donations from faithful supporters of 1517.
A podcast about culture, religion, and ethics, hosted by Dr. Jeff Mallinson and Dr. Daniel van Voorhis, which discusses topics related to living faithfully and thoughtfully in our complex cultural landscape, by seeking and defending truth, goodness, and beauty.
The Thinking Fellows is a podcast featuring Dr.'s Rod Rosenbladt, Scott Keith, and Adam Francisco. Join this great minds as the explore topics of theology, history and apologetics.
The Jagged Word is a blog with an array of regular authors, who ruminate on issues related to Christ and culture. Though essays are often controversial or “jagged,” they are also meant to be inspiring and thought provoking, as they seek to connect readers to the power and freedom of the Gospel and invite readers to explore what it means for Christian people to “play in God’s playground” from a distinctly Lutheran perspective.
A group that is dedicated to advancing service to our neighbors through cultivation of the concepts of vocation, civil courage, and Martin Luther's distinction between the “two kingdoms” by which God governs this world. It helps people develop ways to discern and fulfill their callings in this world, especially through ethical professional and community engagement.
A program broadcasting in the Los Angeles area, the goal of You Are Forgiven! Radio is to proclaim the genuine good news of Christ’s forgiveness for you. Not a list of better tips, techniques or checklists, You Are Forgiven! Radio is instead sermons by faithful pastors who will clearly show how you cannot be forgiven by your own efforts, no matter how hard you may try. But they will also show how you are actually and already forgiven because Jesus has done all that is needed, for you!
